The Slidell Newcomers Club takes an active role in responding to the needs in our community.
We feel it is our responsibility not only to have a good time but to support the needs of the community whenever we can. Our members are generous with their time and talents and are seen volunteering for many causes in and around Slidell. As a club we have directly donated to the following groups in the past:
- The Hospice House of the South
- The Boys and Girls Club
- Rainbow Child Care
- Project Christmas
- Slidell Ladies for Liberty
- Eden House
- Books for a library in the Slidell Jail
- Seasonings for a Food Bank pantry as part of a Girl Scout Troop project
- Good Sams
- Slidell Animal Shelter
Funds raised each fall at our Parade of Prizes raffle are donated to an organization voted on by the executive board in addition to other Community Outreach activities throughout the year.
